Cuban tourism participated in Swiss Fair

Havana, Cuba, January 30, - Cuba tourism was present in the International Tourism Fair of Zurich, Switzerland, showing its holiday product to travel agents, tour operators and visitors, who were extremely interested in knowing the tourist offers of the Caribbean Island. The exhibition of the Cuban tourist product in the aforementioned trade fair, the biggest of that European country, was one of the major attractions of this event, which began last Thursday and concluded yesterday. More than 80 countries, travel agencies and tour operators participated in the Swiss Fair to promote the best world holiday destinations, where Cuba is included, indicated official sources of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Hundreds of people, including professionals of the holiday sector and representatives of the specialized press in addition to the Swiss public, visited the stand of Cuba expressing their interest in learning about the tourist offers of the Caribbean nation, in order to discover the beauty of its nature, and the places they can visit. Perhaps the greatest interest shown by visitors to the Cuban stand was referred to the possibilities and means of travelling to Cuba, especially to its sun and beach holiday destinations as well as knowing on programs including journeys through the whole island. The fair also allowed visitors to the Cuban booth to appreciate the opportunities of cultural and natural tourism proposed by the Caribbean nation, which have become a prioritized modality of Cuba's holiday industry. The desire to know the Cuban people, and walk its fields and cities, were some of the highlights that caught the attention and curiosity of the public in the well-known Swiss fair.
